Seminars begin Tuesday

Beginning tomorrow, the Donald W. Reynolds National Center for Business Journalism is hosting fellows for its “Strictly Financials Seminar” for working journalists and its “Business Journalism Professors Seminar.”

Educators and journalists from all different parts of the country will settle in for a week of learning about financials and the essentials of teaching business journalism. The training will be held at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University, where the Reynolds Center is headquartered.

Sessions throughout the week will be led by top-notch presenters, including Diana B. Henriques, a senior financial writer for The New York Times, Greg McCune, Reuters Americas Training Editor and Jodi Schneider, the director of training and development for the newsroom of Congressional Quarterly.

About the Author

Kelly is the Reynolds Center's Senior Online Producer. She has worked as a reporter for several newspapers, most recently The Arizona Republic, and has been an adjunct professor at Arizona State University’s Cronkite School. She has a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Nonfiction from Goucher College and holds a degree in Journalism and Mass Communication from West Virginia University. Kelly also was a fellow at The Poynter Institute and a contributing writer for "Cancer Stories: Lessons in Love, Loss & Hope."
