Has appearing on television or in Internet videos become part of your job as a business journalist? Here’s a chance to hone your on-air skills with a talented coach and broadcast professional in this hands-on session. After instruction, you will be interviewed in a newsroom setting by an off-camera host. You will get individual feedback from Susan Green, longtime broadcast professional and Arizona State University Cronkite School professor. Then you will have the opportunity to redo your interview – with the entire session captured on video for you to review later.

This free pre-conference session is part of the Reynolds Center’s “Become a Multimedia Business Journalist” track at the Society of American Business Editors and Writers annual conference from March 19-21 at ASU’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication in Phoenix. Other sessions include a free pre-conference session from the Reynolds Center on March 18 on how to produce a business-news video in a day, plus a session during the conference on March 20 how to produce a podcast and one following the conference on March 21 on taking compelling business news photos. Registration is limited to 10 journalists. Priority will be given to SABEW conference registrants through March 1. To register for the SABEW conference, click here.
