Crain’s needs a real estate reporter in New York

Crain’s New York Business seeks a real estate reporter to support its expansion of this important beat.

The job is a full-time, freelance position for an “excellent reporting and writing skills, a nose for news, an eye for color and a taste for numbers.”

“Keen interests in business and New York City are essential, as is a comfort with tight deadlines and multi-tasking. Responsibilities will include digging up scoops on commercial and residential real estate deals and the people who drive those deals. The successful candidate will join our widely-respected real estate reporting team and have opportunities to work on longer term projects for our online and print outlets. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly-motivated individual eager to make a name as a journalist. The position will be offered on a contract basis, with some health insurance benefits. “
