GenomeWeb News is looking for a company reporter

GenomeWeb News is looking for an experienced journalist to edit a new online newsletter covering PCR  (Polymerase Chain Reaction) and other nucleic acid amplification technologies.

In their JournalismJobs.com listing, the editors said they are looking for:

“A motivated reporter who can uncover scoops and build an audience for this new publication, which is focused on a key underlying technology for biotechnology research, diagnostics, and drug discovery. This beat will require a mix of science, technology, and business reporting, so applicants should have experience filing stories under deadline in at least one of those areas. Some familiarity with PCR and its applications is strongly desirable.”

The fulltime position is based in New York.

The successful candidate will cover the companies and organizations that develop, sell, and use instruments and reagents for PCR and other nucleic acid amplification technologies. They will file breaking news in real time as well as longer enterprise pieces on a rolling deadline.
