International Business Times is looking for an editor

International Business Times is looking for an editor with at least five years experience at a major news organization.

In the Times’ JournalismJobs.com job listing, managers said candidates:

“must be able to show that you can manage staff performance effectively, that you have a global perspective and understanding, and that you are a strong team player. Perhaps, most important of all, you should be able to produce more compelling coverage of the top stories than rivals, and inject a global perspective in to the coverage of editors and reporters. “

The job is described as directing coverage of the top stories daily across all the publication’s beats and main coverage areas. The editor is asked to have a full understanding of economy, politics and finance and a willingness to embrace the latest in editorial technology and multimedia collaboration is essential.
