Real estate editor needed for trade magazine

REIT magazine job listingNAREIT is seeking an associate editor to contribute editorial and production assistance to a variety of NAREIT publications, including REIT.com, REIT magazine and weekly member newsletter.

The job is based in Washington, D.C. Editors are looking for someone with a minimum of five years of financial or business reporting.

In its JournalismJobs.com job listing, editors said the responsibilities include:

Contribute information and editorial content to REIT magazine, REIT.com and other NAREIT publications. Including five Web articles per week. • Assist in keeping NAREIT’s Web site up to date, making edits as directed. • Assist in story development and editing for all NAREIT content. • Assist department staff with video production as needed, including on-camera interviews. • Lay out and distribute NAREIT’s weekly member newsletter, NewsBrief. • Compile, organize and maintain editorial contacts, photograph archive and content library. • Assist in the development and coordination of other NAREIT publications. • Gain a base understanding of design software. • Perform other relevant duties as assigned.
