Website Taste Predictor analyzes Twitter use to suggest sites you’d like
Straight from MIT is the Website Taste Predictor.
A Twitter tool circulating this afternoon promises to analyze your Twitter use and then suggest Web sites that you will probably like.
@BizJournalism, the Reynolds Center Twitter site, has more than 1,500 followers and we have tweeted more than 2,800 times on it during the year or so it’s been up and running.
Presumably the MIT tool’s analyses looks at keywords, stories and links we’ve shared and maybe even our followers and those we follow.
As the site says: “Just by analyzing your twitter account we can make amazing predictions about the type of websites you like. This recommendation engine is a great way to find new websites you will love but have not discovered yet.”
I’m thinking that if we would be drawn to the following Web sites, you may too.
I know. It’s a long list. But that probably shows the range of things the Reynolds Center is interested in. I tried this on my personal Twitter account and Website Taste Predictor recommended only seven sites. (Uh, yeah. Only seven.) Other Twitter-users have said they think the tool rings pretty true.
