Has shooting video stories become part of your job as a business journalist? Here’s a chance to hone your skills as a multimedia journalist by shooting a business news video in a day.
Under the expert instruction of Arizona State University TV-production specialist Brian Snyder, this intensive day of hands-on training will equip you with the skills and build your confidence to shoot business news videos.
No previous experience with video is required. You don’t even have to bring any equipment. Cameras, tripods and editing equipment will be provided.
By the end of the day, you and your partner will have reported, shot and edited a 1.5- to 2-minute video.

Brian Snyder, ASU TV-production specialist, teaches how to use a video camera.
Registration for this free workshop is limited to 20 journalists, who will shoot videos in pairs at local businesses. “I am still surprised at how much can be learned in a day,” said Scott McCleskey, managing editor, North America, for Complinet.com. He took the workshop in March. ”This training was focused, practical and of immediate use to me back in my organization.”
