SABEW announces big names at fall workshop opener

The top editors of Bloomberg News, Dow Jones and Reuters will talk about the present and future of the news business at a special event kicking off the annual fall workshop of the Society of American Business Editors and Writers.

SABEW NYC Fall workshop 2011The three — Stephen Adler of Reuters, Robert Thomson of Dow Jones and Matt Winkler of Bloomberg News — will speak at a reception Oct. 13 to open the Oct. 13-14 workshop at the City University of New York Graduate School of Journalism, 219 W. 40th St., New York City.

The CUNY Graduate School of Journalism, located in the historic former home of the old New York Herald-Tribune just a few blocks away from Times Square, will be our home for the workshop.

During the fall workshop, the Reynolds Center will present a session about dealing with too much data:  That session is on Thursday, Oct. 13, 1 to 5 p.m.: Registration info and more details, “Digital Efficiency for Business Journalists – 36 Tips to Tame Info Overload.”
