Steve Short: Reynolds Center presenter

Steve Short

Steve Short took over ownership of Atlasta Catering & Event Concepts of Phoenix in 1998. He focused on menu development, customer relations and operations to diversify the company while increasing market share. In 2008, inspired by business leaders who placed sustainable practices on par with profitability and service, Short began to refine his business goals to align with his ethical thoughts on sustainability.

Realizing very quickly this was an enormous undertaking, Short sought help from the ASU School of Sustainability. During the last two years, Steve has worked with Colin Tetreault, who holds a master’s degree from ASU’s School of Sustainability, to align Atlasta’s business practices with its ethical goals.

The Reynolds Center, created through generous grants from the Donald W. Reynolds Foundation of Las Vegas and operated by ASU’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication, is dedicated to improving the quality of business and economics coverage through training programs for business reporters and editors.
