What are the most challenging aspects of covering business?

"The challenge is getting my arms around the broad beat I cover (health and medicine). Rather than dilute my knowledge in every segment, I try to focus on select areas in which I can become an expert. I hit everything else with news or trend stories." -Gloria Lau, Health & Medicine Writer, Investor's Business Daily

"My challenge has been learning how to get necessary information and records on both public and private companies. Also, finding time to study individual companies and building sources." -Maria Ortiz-Briones, Reporter, Hanford (Calif.) Sentinel
