The Donald W. Reynolds National Center for Business Journalism is expanding its network of freelance reporters. We are seeking eloquent writers with innovative story ideas who are experts in business journalism and can help our audience stay on top of the world’s biggest story – the economy.

We’re a national nonprofit training institute that strives to improve the quality of business journalism. The audience of our Web site, www.businessjournalism.org, consists of smart, savvy business
journalists. We expect the same from our freelancers. Any ideas that can educate our audience to better cover the financial world, from Main Street to Wall Street, will get our attention.

Our freelancers should offer insightful tips for business coverage and ways our audience can stay ahead of breaking news. We’re open to all forms of storytelling, from 800-word stories to blogs, videos and podcasts. We would love to hear from former or current business reporters, professors, editors or freelance journalists, and also experts in specific topics such as personal finance, green business, minority business, health care, technology and the coverage of public and private companies.

Please send your resume, a writing sample and five story ideas to Kelly.carr@businessjournalism.org.
