The Reynolds Center’s offices at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication have become an art gallery. On Thursday, we kicked off Commerce, a photo exhibit by Dominic Valente. He’s a photojournalism student set to graduate in 2015, and he also is working for the Arizona Republic.
Valente’s photos depict commerce taking place around Phoenix, across the United States and Mexico, and around the world.
We’ll be regularly featuring his photos on BusinessJournalism.org, and will tell you about them over the next few weeks.
First up: Light Rail. As Valente puts it, “The light rail is, in many ways, a symbol and representation of the metro Phoenix area. While it has its problems and its quirks, it is always still moving forward and looking to the future. Much like Phoenix, the light rail has lots of room to grow and flourish.”
Stop by the Reynolds Center in the Cronkite Building during business hours to see Valente’s show. Or, visit his website here.
