Workshop Recap: An Effective Business Journalism Syllabus

by July 15, 2016

When students join your business journalism class, the first thing they’ll be looking at is your syllabus. An effective business journalism syllabus can guide students, letting them know what to expect from the course subject matter and the deadlines they will need to meet.

During Reynolds Week 2016, Karen Blumenthal, of the University of North Texas, Andrew Cassel, of Pennsylvania State University, and Keith Herndon, of the Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of Georgia, gave their advice on how to craft an effective syllabus for your business journalism course.
