Today’s reporters have access to a wealth of multimedia and mobile tools that can help in every aspect of storytelling, from locating trends to filtering through global databases. The challenge is knowing which tools are worthwhile, and how to use them. Mike Reilley, founder of SPJ’s Journalist’s Toolbox, will guide attendees though the landscape of tools and platforms at a workshop taking place at the Excellence in Journalism conference in New Orleans, sponsored by the Donald W. Reynolds National Center on Business Journalism at Arizona State University. This workshop will identify 10 easy-to-use-tools that are revolutionizing the craft of reporting.
