NAJA 2015 Workshop: Reporting on Money in Politics

July 9, 2015 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Learn how to follow the money trail when covering political stories at a free, pre-NAJA conference workshop presented by the Donald W. Reynolds National Center for Business Journalism.

This workshop will help you better cover campaign contributions, appropriations and agencies, political scandals and candidates’ financial backgrounds.

Eliza Carney will lead the session. Carney is an investigative reporter, writer and columnist with CQ Roll Call, where she covers lobbying and political money. Previously, Carney spent 10 years as a staff correspondent at National Journal covering health care, social policy, Congress, politics and political money. Her column, Rules of the Game, analyzes the latest lobbying and political money news.
