Barbara Field

Barbara Field worked on staff at CBS, Harcourt Brace and UC San Diego (Business Affairs). She’s a women’s empowerment leader who gives keynote speeches to corporations and at conferences. She mentored for The Afghan Women’s Writing Project and was Regional Manager at The Op Ed Project which amplifies women’s and underrepresented voices. Her work has appeared in Forbes, Verywell Mind, The New York Times, The Independent and elsewhere. Her novel won a Writer’s Digest fiction award and she’s a former member of the American Society of Journalists and Authors. She graduated from Barnard College of Columbia University with a BA in English and won the Lenore Marshall Prize and the Van Rensselaer Prize for her writing. Barbara is the founder of Writing Life Stories and teaches memoir-writing to non-writers.
