Skill Up at SABEW
SABEW, the leading association for business journalists, has assembled a top-notch workshop entirely focused on helping you sharpen your skills. The workshop will take place Friday, Oct. 20 from 12:45 to 6 p.m. ET on the 9th floor at The Wall Street Journal, located at 1211 Avenue of the Americas in New York City. The day will conclude with a wine-and-cheese mixer. The #SkillUpSABEW workshop is open to all reporters, editors, and journalism students. Space is limited.
Registration pricing is $74 for SABEW members and $99 for nonmembers; student member pricing is $29 and $49 for student nonmembers.

The Scoop on Landing Scoops: facilitated by The Wall Street Journal reporters Laura Cooper and Lauren Thomas; The Datapoint That Makes the Story: facilitated by Nicole Sadek, investigative data reporter at Bloomberg Law; Raise Your Game and Get Booked: facilitated by a panel from CNBC’s Editorial team; One-on-One Networking: Here’s your chance to get paired with an editor or hiring manager, get your resume or clips reviewed, practice your story pitch or brush up on your interviewing skills (note: will need to sign up and submit material by 5 p.m. ET, Thursday, Oct. 12).
